SUSPORT PROJECT

SUSPORT - "SUSTAINABLE PORTS" COLLABORATION BETWEEN PORTS OF THE ADRIATIC SHORE OF ITALY AND CROATIA.

COSEF, the Consortium for Economic Development of Friuli, is a beneficiary partner of the European project "SUSPORT - SUStainable PORTs", co-financed by the Interreg Italy-Croatia Cross-border Cooperation Programme.

Objective
The main objective of Susport is to improve the environmental performance and energy efficiency of the Adriatic ports involved, realizing concrete pilot actions in different areas such as noise, air quality and CO2 emissions. Susport, is the only strategic project in the field of maritime freight transport approved by the Programme and involves all the Italian Port System Authorities of the Adriatic shore, besides Trieste (Venice, Ravenna, Ancona and Bari, Porto Nogaro), the main Croatian ports (Rijeka, Zadar, Split, Ploče, Dubrovnik), research and promotion agencies of both countries. The port of Trieste will deepen the studies already carried out within the carbon footprint for the reference port system that includes Monfalcone.

In this context, the Consortium for Economic Development of Friuli will be able to improve its planning of environmental sustainability and energy efficiency for the port of Porto Nogaro. In particular, the lighting points of the port warehouses will be replaced with LED technology lamps, at the port building the old doors and windows will be replaced with new ones with thermal break, the external coat will be made, a new thermal generator equipped with Puff will be installed with solar thermal panels and finally a photovoltaic roof will be installed.

Duration
A duration of 30 months - 1 July 2020-31 December 2022.

Budget
The budget for COSEF amounts to €.560.000,00.
